What we collect

Packet contents (tenant names, addresses, checklists, photo links) are stored in your browser’s localStorage when you use the wizard. We do not receive those fields on our servers unless you use optional email features below.

Operator logs (maintenance, tickets, inspections/complaints at /logs) are also stored in localStorage on your device unless you export CSV or print.

Tenant copy email (Pro) · If you send a statement copy to a tenant, we transmit the summary you submit (names, amounts, line items, deadline text) through our email provider (Resend) to the addresses you enter. We do not attach move-in photos in that email.

Payments go through Stripe (our payment processor). We see whether you are subscribed and the email you used at checkout · not your full card number.

Pro on a new device · If you use “Send link” on pricing, we keep your subscription email and status on our server (encrypted) so we can email you a one-time sign-in link.

Deadline reminders (optional) · If you schedule email reminders, we store your email, property label, and reminder dates until sent or expired.

Feedback form · If you submit Feedback, we receive the category and message you send (and your email if you include it).

Usage analytics

On our hosted site we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights (first-party, cookie-light page views and performance). They do not receive your deposit packet fields from localStorage. You can block scripts with a browser extension; the app still works.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not use third-party ad pixels on marketing pages in this release.
• We do not provide legal advice or review your packets.

Unlocking print and PDF

After you pay, your browser confirms the purchase with our site and saves an unlock flag locally so step 5 can export.

Retention and deletion

Clear site data in your browser to remove local drafts. Stripe retains billing records per their policy. Email logs for magic links and reminders are kept only as long as needed to operate the feature.

Children

Deposit Desk is for landlords and operators, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
